So what is the best mortgage deal in the uk
I haven't found the best mortgage deal for me as yet and as with everything on this site you can only say what good for you.
I have looked up quite a lot of mortgage deals today.
At present I think the best deal is so dependant on your circumstances. Intro deals for first time buyers maybe A fixed rate for a set period of time.
An example would be something like fixed for 2 years at 3.8% APR going up to 6% APR after that 2year stint.
Other deal including offsetting mortgages.. I read that the Woolwich have taken away offset parent mortgages, this was when the earning (money in the account) of the parents is offset against the loan.. Many banks and building societies offer offset mortgage the tie up your saving and current account and offset them.. Always worth talking to your current bank before approaching others..
